I am an adjunct instructor of German at Harper College in Palatine, Illinois. I earned my PhD in the Department of Germanic Languages and Literatures at Washington University in May 2010.  My dissertation focuses on Hermann Hesse as an ambivalent modernist.  I have been teaching German courses since fall semester 2004.  For a complete CV, see my Professional Life page.
